Generate smart, highly secure internet password

Friday, October 26th, 2007

When it comes to internet security, good passwords and “easy to remember” have always been at odds. As soon as you need to write down your password on a cheat sheet, it’s not really a good password (anymore).

So, how can you create unique passwords for the different websites, easy to remember and still secure enough so that standard dictionary attacks can’t break them ?

Tada, enter your individual “smart password generator” !

Happy belated New Year

Thursday, March 15th, 2007

Well, so I haven’t posted here for a while. Too busy with other stuff, I guess.

But to give this post at least some original content, I want to give you some piece of advice. This comes straight from the higher ranks of the company I work for, so it’s gotta be true ;-)

“You have to manage it, or get out of the kitchen !”

LOL, and I thought I was confused.

I finally decided to give WordPress 2.0 a chance. So while I’m switching and testing, some things might be a little "out-of-order". Just check back a little later. Cheers.

Comment Spam

Saturday, April 22nd, 2006

Ok, I’m officially annoyed. I got more than 20 spam comments for cell phones in the last 48 hours. What the heck ? Gotta find some way to make posting comments a little harder. Sorry folks, but I’m just not in the mood of moderating all that crap…

Update:

Just installed Spam Karma.
Looks like a very capable piece of spam catcher for blogs. Let’s hope it works well.

Update 2:

I now also installed Aksimet, in addition to Spam Karma. There is a neat little plug-in that lets you combine both. Read about it here.

Update 3:

7 days later: 275 spam caught, none slipped through. Spam Karma2 with Aksimet works great.

No, I’m NOT dead…

Saturday, March 25th, 2006

A friend of mine complaint that my ‘blog’ is so inactive. Also, she said my picture looks like a mug shot. Maybe I should have told her… :-/
Well, I pointed out to her that this is not really a blog, and not a diary at all. Nonetheless, I thought I proof her wrong and post something real bloggy. So this is it. Nothing to see here folks, movin’ right along ;-)

Oh, I almost forgot. WOOT ! First post this year. *Sigh* I’m just too busy.
